Rebuilding Training from the Ground Up, Then Taking It Global

Krispy Kreme had training. It just wasn't working. Modern Training became part of the Krispy Kreme team, rebuilt training into one modern system, then carried it across four languages and three new international markets.

01: Challenge

Training Existed, but It Wasn't Working

Decade-old SOPs sat right next to roles with nothing written down at all. New hires learned by word of mouth, so training varied from location to location. Krispy Kreme needed a transformation that worked across roles, departments, and countries, not just a refresh.

02: What We Built + Did

Part of the Team, Not a Vendor

We became part of Krispy Kreme's team and learned how training really worked across every role before we changed a thing.

1

Rebuilt the knowledge base

We sorted through piles of outdated SOPs and, with their subject-matter experts, refined every procedure to be accurate and clear.

2

About 200 role-specific assets

Interactive courses, videos, shift guides, and real-world scenarios that mirror what team members do on the job.

3

Job aids where work happens

Clear, concise references posted right in the workspace, so learning sticks long after onboarding.

4

In-person working sessions

We met their corporate team onsite to set clear goals and build fast, side by side.

03: Going Global

From U.S. Launch to Four Languages

Once the U.S. launch was underway, we widened access. We translated every English deliverable into Spanish, adapted materials for Japanese operations, and built brand-new leadership courses for the Mexico team. Then came our most collaborative effort yet: a careful Portuguese translation with Krispy Kreme's Brazil team, backed by human review and a local foodservice glossary for the equipment and techniques that instant translation rarely gets right.

Working with the Modern Training team has felt more like a friendship than a working relationship. Everyone is so kind, joyful, and personable. It's rare to connect with people you enjoy going to meetings with. We not only laugh and have fun, we produce some incredible work together.

Show Up, Then Build

Great training takes more than good intentions. It takes clear goals, collaboration, and showing up. That's what turned confusion into confidence on the floor.

Ready for Your Own Transformation

Whether your training needs a rebuild or a first build, we start the same way: by learning how work really happens in your world.
